INREM 2021
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR LGU INREM CHAMPIONS
Rationale:
The Third International Conference on Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM 2021) which will be held on November 17 to 18, 2021 via Online Platform will recognize Local Government Units (LGUs) who are implementing interdisciplinary programs to uplift the health, wealth and well-being of their constituents and the environment.
Requirements:
The LGU shall submit a 300 word abstract and a 15 minute video presentation with the ff. contents:
• situationer of their municipalities before start of INREM activities
• short write up of each INREM activities conducted and particular issue being addressed by each activity
• impacts - focusing on the 3 items given in the criteria for impacts - environmental improvement, livelihood improvement, participation of stakeholders
• describe the innovations done and uniqueness of approach (creativity)
• sustainability of the activities - far beyond 9 years (+ term of office the LGU head)
Prizes
• PhP 50,000 – 1st Prize + Plaque of Recognition
• PhP 30,000 – 2nd Prize + Plaque of Recognition
• PhP 20,000 – 3rd Prize + Plaque of Recognition

Definition of INREM
INTEGRATED NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT (INREM) is an interdisciplinary approach in the study of human-ecosystems interaction for the advancement of knowledge on the holistic management of river basins and lakes, landscapes and seascapes, rural-urban and small islands.
